You asked for it, we constructed it. The best interactive RoIO trading software has just gotten better! If you faced a few problems configuring our older software, this is your answer. By request we have developed a special customized version of the Echoes Hub connection software.

Not only does the software have all of it's powerful options pre-configured for maximum performance, but every one of the download folders, shared folders and Hub settings are already entered. All you need to do is register (include your name and password that you want to use), install and start the software. When the software starts, you will see a yellow star. Click on the yellow star and enter your name and password that you registered with. Try it now!

Members who are already connected and downloading successfully can ignore this. The new software is for brand new members and members that have had problems configuring the software in the past.

- FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) And Why It's So Popular -

SHN vs. FLAC - The first of the lossless formats widely used was .SHN, or Shorten. Shorten files are completely lossless, and result in files that are 50%-70% smaller than the original .wav file. More recently, Flac files have taken the momentum away from Shorten, because of FLAC's claim to be completely lossless and 5%-15% smaller than Shorten. Almost all new concerts are available in Flac format. New audio players are being released with FLAC support such as the Rio Karma and The Squeezebox (something SHN has never had happen and probably never will).

FLAC files can contain additional comments (title, artist) and are able to be compressed at variable bitrates. Flac files use an advanced integer-only (versus float) compression algorithm. Flac files also handle 16, 24 and 30 bit resolution (versus SHN's 16 bit only) and can sample all the way up to 192Khz (versus SHN's 44.1Khz, CD quality).

Converting FLAC or SHN to WAV files for cd burning will require separate software, which can be found here: Trader's Little Helper.
