Syd Barrett's Dark Globe performed by David Gilmour

 This
Christmas will see a limited released of "Arnold Layne".
Arnold Layne, The first Pink Floyd song ever released has been
recorded live in Royal Albert Hall in two different versions. One
features vocals by David Bowie and the other is sung by Richard
Wright. An acoustic version of Dark Globe will also be released. The
tracks will be available for download from December 25th and in
stores the following day... but only for a limited time.

A few weeks ago, I asked Marooned, "What do you think about having
an OP's pick of the week?" And he said, "what do you mean?". I
explained to him my idea and that it might be a neat to have all of
the Moderators (ops) select their favorite boots and make it a high
priority to other traders who also would like to listen to these
shows based on our recommendations. This would help circulate some
of the best shows, what do you think?". Marooned's response was,
"HOLY !!&Y%#%, that's a great %%#$^%$% idea!". I can't remember
exactly what else he said, but he said design it and make it a
reality. So here it is....

 Here
is an E-mail I received recently from one of the Moderators in the
hub. I'd thought I'd share it with all of you.....
"Hey
Marooned, Here is the recipe that my friend Dave Bieri (no shit his
last name really is Bieri) - came up with for "Atom Hopped Mother."
He also has one called "Dark Side of the Brew Stout" - but is still
looking for the recipe. I have sampled both of these selections and
they are fantastic!
Dave works at Guadalupe Mountains National Park and has converted
his garage into a beer-makers paradise. The recipe is attached as a
word file.
Take it easy,

The
recipe for the Atom Hopped Mother is as follows:
17 lbs of 2 row pale ale malt
1/2 lb crystal 40L malt
1/2 lb Munich malt
Single infusion mash at 152 degrees for 90 minutes
90
minute boil
1/2 oz Centenial hops, 1/2 oz Columbus hops, 1/4 oz Amarillo hops
added for 90 minutes
1/4 oz Amarillo hops, 1/4 oz Columbus hops added for 60 minutes
1/4 oz Amarillo hops, 1/4 oz Columbus hops added for 30 minutes
1/4 oz Centenial hops added for 15 minutes
1/4 oz Cascade hops added for 10 minutes
1/2 oz Cascade hops added for 5 minutes
1 oz Cascade hops added for 1 minute
Dry hopped with 1 oz Cascade and 1/2 oz Centenial
English Ale yeast with 1,000 ml starter
Fermented at 68 degrees for 1 week in primary, transferred to
secondary and added dry hops; ferment for 2 weeks
That's about it. It won 1st place for the 'hoppy beer' category in
the Austin ZEALOTS Homebrew Inquisition 2006.

 Pig
Floyd are without a doubt one of the top Pink Floyd sound-alike
tribute bands on the circuit, all members are consummate
professionals and perform to a very high standard, they incorporate
the projections that are expected in a show from a band like Pink
Floyd, including if required the trademark circular screen.
They provide a flexible show that can be suited to most budgets and
venue sizes. They currently perform two sets of approximately 1 hour
each, the first set is a collection of Pink Floyd classics from
Shine on you crazy diamond to astronomy domine, the second set is
called Bricks from The Wall and contains a wide selection of Wall
tracks including Comfortably Numb, Young Lust, Mother and Another
Brick in the Wall parts 1, 2 and 3, both sets have projections that

anyways? Tapers! That elusive breed of concert leprechauns that
magically elude security goons to bring us all their audio gold. And
many of these imps can be found at here at the hub. If you've ever
wondered how they do it, what equipment they use, or where to find
the best deals for gear, there's always a few tapers lurking around.
Strike up a conversation in main chat of the hub and you're sure to
flush out a few who are more than happy to tell their stories and
