Choosing a Username

Usernames can be up to 20 characters. The hub software uses certain characters internally, so usernames cannot contain:

• Spaces
• The characters | $ < >

If a username is already taken, the sign up form will tell you. If it's yours, use Forgot Password.

Choosing a Password

Passwords must be 6 to 20 characters and cannot contain | or $.

Everything else is allowed, including spaces and symbols such as ! @ # % & *.

Your Registration Code

After you submit the sign up form, a registration code is emailed to you. Enter it on the page shown after sign up to activate your account.

• Check your spam or junk folder if the email doesn't arrive
• Make sure the email address you entered has no typos
• Use the most recent code you received — a new code replaces the old one
• When copying the code, don't include extra spaces
• Codes are limited to 3 emails per address per day

Downloading & Installing (Windows)

• Go to the Download page and pick any layout — they are the same software with different color themes
• The download is a .zip file. Open your Downloads folder, right-click the file and choose Extract All (or use 7-Zip)
• Open the extracted folder and double-click the installer (.exe) to install
• Click through the installer and allow it. It installs to C:\Echoes Hub 4.0

Entering Your Username & Password (Windows)

Your nick is your Echoes Hub username. Enter it exactly as you registered it.

Step 1. Click the heart icon (Favorites). Select Echoes Hub, click Properties, enter your nick and password, and click OK.

Step 2. Click the puzzle piece icon (Settings).

Enter your nick in the Nick box and click OK.

Step 3. Close the software.

Step 4. Start the software again and it will connect you right to the hub.

Mac & Linux

Use one of the Direct Connect clients listed on the Download page (Jucy, LinuxDC++, AirDC++, or Eiskalt DC++).

Add the hub address lossless.echoeshub.com:411, and use your Echoes Hub username as your nick and your Echoes Hub password.

After Activation

Once your account is activated, download the software, install it, and sign in with your username and password.

You can also sign in to the Member Login. If you forget your password, use Forgot Password.

Computer Requirements

A phone or tablet will not work for trading on the hub. You need a desktop or laptop computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux so you can download, install, and run the required trading software.

Community Requirements

• Lossless audio only: FLAC, SHN, or other approved lossless formats
• No MP3s, YouTube rips, lossy conversions, or fake lossless files
• No official commercial releases
• No selling, buying, or trading for profit
• Respect recording lineage, source notes, and taper information
• Share fairly with the community
