Lossless files are traded here at Echoes Hub because they are identical to the original recording. When you compress audio files using the mp3 format or similar lossy compression, some of the audio spectrum in that recording is permanently lost. There is no way to get it back because it gets deleted to crunch the file small in size. This degrades the sound quality. Did you know? When you extract a FLAC file you get the original lossless .WAV file the recording was made with.
