  • Grateful Dead 3-30-68 Carousel Ballroom, San Francisco AUD>MR>D>PCM>D>CD>EAC>SHN Disc 1 (67:18) set 1: 1. //Morning Dew (5:03) 2. tuning (1:37) 3. Cryptical Envelopment--> (1:49) 4. The Other One--> (3:33) 5. Cryptical Envelopment--> (4:49) 6. Dark Star--> (9:04) 7. China Cat Sunflower--> (3:32) 8. The Eleven%--> (11:17) 9. Lovelight (12:30) set 2: 10. //Born Cross Eyed--> (2:18) 11. Spanish Jam--> (9:52) 12. Death Don't Have No Mercy// (1:48) Disc 2 (19:44) set 2 continued (?): 1. //Lovelight% (6:51) 2. Beat It On Down The Line (2:30) 3. stage banter (1:45) 4. Dancin' In The Streets (8:37) The late March '68 recordings are often listed as sbds, and the topic of aud vs. sbd remains uncertain for these shows, though they sound as if they were recorded with micophones on stage. The material for disc 2 is likely from a different show, though it circulates with the rest of what is dated as 3-30-68. It is possible that two Lovelights could be played in a single show, and it is conceivable that these songs may have preceded those on disc 1. Notes: --splice at 4:07 in The Eleven --the first couple seconds of Born Cross Eyed are missing. --minor clip at beginning of 2nd Lovelight --splice at 0:26 in 2nd Lovelight --glitch at 3:26 in Dancin' --Sound Forge was used to patch a number of dropouts from an alternate source part of The Music Never Stopped Project 2003 Thanks to Andy Lemieux edits/encoding by JCotsman
