Working Man NOTES: This is a really in-your-face recording, a couple of dozen decibels too much from being pretty much perfect. There is a slight rattle during a goodly portion of it because 1) ol' Mike's seat was very close and 2) ol' Mike basically had to push a button and hope for the best ... because he had no prayer of manually dialing it in. Because ol' Mike was being shaken to the core by the vibrations, he assumed the resulting recording would be totally distorted and unusable. Happily, that wasn't the case. It's loud, all right, but surprisingly clear and, again, very in-your-face (in joeyjay's opinion). Also, there's some slight hiss throughout, too, but that should not scare you away. It's possible someone with the talent and resources could remaster this and fix the clipping and such, but I decided first just to get this version out in its purity and we can go from there. This version from this source is uncirculated; an edited version (taking out crowd between songs to make it fit on two CDs) was given as mementos to the four people who accompanied ol' Mike to the show ... including the huge Rush fan who screamed "Bytor ... Give Me Bytor" (like he "somehow" knew that was coming!) just before Rush came back for the encore (First encore: Bytor! Well, what do ya know!) There is at least one other version of this show out there that I know of (Smirnoff Stooges). I believe that one to be more cleanly recorded, and as a result, slightly more subdued than this one. I think they're both worthy additions to your collection. You decide on this one. Enjoy. On with the show ...
