  • Walter's description of this set: Nothing Parts 1 to 24 Recorded live at Internationale Musikforum, Ossaichersee, July 1, 1971 Disc One: Return Of The Son Of Nothing.........26:21 Careful With That Axe Eugene........ 12:13 Disc Two: Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun......... 16:25 Atom Heart Mother (with Brass & Choir).............. 28:56 "Return of the Son of Nothing"is an early "Echoes" title, as is the album's title "Nothing Parts 1 - 24". I have no clue as to when the titles were switched, or what the name for the piece on the setlist actually was--blame Highland, who titled this release, and from whom I'm liberating it. Sound quality is very good for 1971, and this is one of the few shows I have heard from this period where (IMO) the Brass section & the Choir are up to snuff for Atom Heart Mother. This is (to my knowledge) a fairly recent release; my supplier in Argentina didn't even have it long enough to enter it in his catalog, and hadn't carried this particular Highland title before. (Yes, Guilty as charged: I buy overpriced bootlegs of material for the purposes of trades & weeds because I can afford to share) I believe a single disc version of this date has been available previously, but this is the first time the complete show has been released unedited, and to my knowlege, the first time it's been weeded in any Floyd-oriented Yahoo Group.
