Watcher of the Skies (10:14) 2. Dancing with the Moonlit knight (10:43) 3. The Cinema show (12:32) 4. I know what I Like (in your wardrobe) (6:28) 5. Firth of Fifth (13:18) 6. Musical Box (11:17) CD 2 (55:56) 1. Horizons (1:59) 2. The Battle of Epping Forest (16:31) 3. Suppers Ready (27:15) 4. The Knife (10:10) Total Time: 120:32 Those two recordings were seeded here on Dime so I tried my hand on a matrix. This is my first matrix so if you think some things could have been donne better, don't hesitate to comment my work. Original seeder's notes: Source 1: 1. An excellent audience recording. 2. I enhanced the listening experience by either minimizing or elminating excessive audience noise. 3. After Watcher of the Skies, you'll hear some mic noise, but only during the dialogue spoken by the singer. After that, the recording is smooth. This is due to the fact that an usher at the Vic had no clue whatsoever about seating. In the middle of Watcher of the Skies, the usher told us we were sitting in the wrong seats and made me and my friend walk to the top of the balcony. He made us wait on the walkway while he went down and hassle some other people about their tickets. On each side of us along the balcony, were very large security guys scanning the audience. While we were standing there, some guy a few rows down took a picture of the band with flash. Security rushed down and pulled him out of his seat and took him away! So, there I am holding the recorder in my hand, with the microphone sticking conspicuously out the front of it and trying to get a good recording while hoping not to get busted! Finally, the usher came and escorted us back to our seats. Fortunately, I was able to keep the recorder going through the whole ordeal! What a nightmare. 4. Artwork is included. Created in Photoshop CS2. 5. I will release the 11/17/2006 - Vic Theater - Musical Box - Foxtrot tour recording soon. 6. According to the keyboard player, this is the final tour for the band! 7. The Musical Box is not just a cover band playing the notes as written: they are theatrical performers, giving life and emotion to some of the greatest progressive music ever written. Their show is a time travel machine back to the 70's where one can experience what it was like to attend a Genesis concert! The intricate staging and musicianship reminds one of a time when music was more than a commodity to be licensed and sold. I hope The Musical Box will someday tour again to keep the experience of Genesis alive for years to come... Source 2: Anybody not familiar with this band, they exactly duplicate Gabriel era Genesis. And they are really spectacular. They purchased instruments, stage sets, lights and slides, from Genesis. The musicianship is superb. Pity this is rumoured to be their final tour, go see them if you have the chance!
