In This Twilight (with Zero Sum piano outro) Recorder: Sharp MD SR60 Mic: Sony ECM-DS70P --> Sonic Foundry --> WAV --> dBpoweramp --> FLAC --> Dime Location: Main floor, center, about 2/3 of the way between stage and soundboard taped and uploaded to dime by gladcarrot August 24, 2008 gladcarrotboot011 DO NOT SELL DO NOT TRADE AS MP3 Three mistakes I made that other tapers can learn from: The begining of 1,000,000 and Survivalism were missed because of prevetable sophmoric mistakes. (1) I left my cell phone in my car which serves as my flashlight when I record shows since my minidisc recorder has no illuminated buttons or displays. As a result, I missed the start of 1,000,000 because (2) the mic was actually in the headphone jack (doah!) and I couldn't see the display for couple of mminutes. I missed most of Survivalism because, (3) I underestimated the time until the encore and my preplanned disc switch and again had no means of keeping time. Problems (2) and (3) could have been resolved had I been able to see the recorder, sigh. The recording itself turned out real nice despite all of the talking, singing, and shoving that took place around me. There are occasional dropouts that occur when the recorder is jarred, either by me or more often from being knocked into. (7 second dropout in 21 Ghosts) The crowd got real restless (bored) during the Ghosts-The Greater Good portion and there is a LOT of talking. The chick screaming throughout The Greater Good was riding on top of some guy's shoulders and flashing the crowd.
