  • KING'S X WULFRUN HALL WOLVERHAMPTON UK 2009_01_21 (AUD_FLAC) LINEAGE-ZOOM H2 Recorder-CA 11 mics (Thanks Jamroom) -Greenmachine battery box>USB to PC>Normalised to 0db, some slight fixing where left hand channel dropped out (see below) and slightly raised highs and mids in Sound Forge 8>Split tracks and convert to FLAC (Level 8) in CD Wave Editor RECORDING INFO - What an amazing night. They've been away fromthe UK for far too long, but I don't think it will be too long before we see tem back over here again. I've been a huge fan since 'Gretchen..' and I don't think I've heard them sound any better. Sound was PERFECT and the guys just relaxed and ripped out a killer set - ably assisted by the (large) crowd who sung along to 'Music' while Doug directed us, then on 'Goldilox' after he turned the mics towards the crowd before the song - we all knew what to do (Obviously, I mimed so as not to spoil the recording:-). I saw grown men in tears tonight - King's X were THAT good. The recording has come out very nicely - one slight problem though - I got bumped during just before 'Summerland' and it looks like it knocked the connection slightly as the left mic dropped out for a split second several times. I've copied across the right chnnel for a few short segments and for the whole of 'King' where trying to repair would have made it sound odd -there are a couple of other very small points where it drops down which I've not attempted to repair. This should not stop you enjoy what will surely become one of my most memorable concert moments..ever!! One last thing - Doug Pinnick is FIFTY NINE YEARS OLD this year- he looks half of that...whattaguy SETLIST Intro Groove Machine Alright Pleiades Move What Is This Lost In Germany Black Flag Pray Dogman Go Tell Somebody Julie Looking For Love Summerland Over My Head It's Love We Were Born To Be Loved Goldilox King Visions
