He also suggested that we go introduce ourselves to Chris who was sitting in a doorway across the street reading a book. We chatted a bit about the usual stuff, the road, writing, and a Les Paul guitar he had just purchased. He was very accomodating, especially for a man who was about to play his 299th and last show on his current tour as he would announce on stage. The concert is somewhat abbreviated due to another act playing a late show at The Tin Angel that night. You will hear the amplified stomp board Chris uses to keep time much more distinctly than the previous night's tape. PLEASE: http://chriswhitley.com Visit Chris's site for tourdates, he is constantly on the road playing a small club near you. Check out a show, buy a cd from him there (Dirt Floor is my favorite), and say hello.
