  • Led Zeppelin 5-13-1973 (Discs: CDA-2/SHN-2) Mobile Alabama Bertha Remaster of the 1st gen reel source (*)SBD>>???>>REEL>>DAT>>DAT>>CDA>>SHN>>DAW(Bertha)>>FLAC d1t01-Rock & Roll d1t02-Celebration Day d1t03-Black Dog d1t04-Over The Hills And Far Away d1t05-Misty Mountain Hop d1t06-Since I've Been Loving You d1t07-No Quarter d1t08-The Song Remains The Same d1t09-The Rain Song d2t01-Dazed & Confused d2t02-tairway To Heaven d2t03-Moby Dick Notes: Digitally Remastered using a custom built, Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha, by jashley@deadacated.com. Completed December 8, 2005. (*)Spectral analysis reveals around 10khz of Bandwidth left to the original source. It is not mentioned what the Master source is. Though, 2 analog generations is consistant with what is seen in the spectral analysis and other tests. Spectral and Frequency analysis also reveals a highly compressed source, proabably around 50:1 Limiting. Though this achieves greater volume, it also adds distortion and harshness to the signal in the mid frequencies. The effects of the limiting were reversed to the extent possible, leaving a cleaner, less harsh recording. The Bertha Remasters are done for no other reason than to bring greater enjoyment to my own listening experience. I share them freely and with no expectations. If others get enjoyment from them, all the better. Enjoy! jay From the original text file, prior to Bertha Remastering: These are the original shn files for the Zeppelin Digital Project Volume 1 Thanks go out to Ben Kohn May 13, 1973 - Mobile, Alabama - 1stgen reel>DAT>CDR
