A Pure dead Brilliant recording, this is right in your face, I cannot believe also that Willie did not lose the god damn battery ;) This is one of many in our UK taper team release Enjoy gebs Tapers Notes: ------------- This is my first ever Rush recording, and indeed my first ever recording period. I must admit I was a little nervous about recording the Sheffield gig as I wasn't sure about getting the recording equipment (MD recorder from The Old Dog and in-ear mics from Gebs) past any security measures. However, I needn't have worried as the security at the Hallam FM Arena was pretty lax. Before the gig, I said to a lot of people that I didn't know how I'd feel about recording the gig as Rush are my favourite band and I normally can't stand still at a gig. I'm usually jumping around, singing, screaming and shouting when the boys are on stage so needless to say I was a bit worried that I'd get a bit carried away with myself and spoil the recording. What a tough job I was going to have (or so I thought) but in the end it was actually a lot easier than I'd first feared. My seat for the show was Block A, Row 10, Seat 2. I was fairly close to the stage sitting on Alex's side. The seat next to me at the aisle (seat 1) was empty but sitting at the other side of me was TNMS member "Prince By-Tor" and his daughter. It was really good to meet them for the first time and they are really nice people. Also standing directly in front of me in Row 9 was another TNMS member "Nance" and her husband. Before the show, I advised Nance and PBT that I was recording the show and they respected that all the way through the show as I hardly heard a sound from them. I'm really grateful to them for remaining fairly quiet hence the show is a very good quality recording. This particular show is volume 6 of the "Union Of The Snakes" box set.
