  • Pink Floyd Sapporo Moon Rev A March 13, 1972 Sapporo, Japan Compilation by ddyte, sound editing by neild. Sample xrefs: Rec1: Great Gig On The Moon, Unauthorised Live Vol 1, Sapporo Master, etc. Rec2: Cold Side Of The Bow, Color Of Money, Rec 2 Gen 3, etc. This is a compilation/patchwork from the best renderings I could locate of the two known sources. Recorder 1 is the superior quality source, known for such boots as The Great Gig On The Moon, but is incomplete. Recorder 2 is less circulated, and lower quality, but is complete. For recorder 1, I took the 1990 DAT transfer of the master reels, as torrented on Yeeshkul by beerlover. The recorder 1 material has NOT been altered. Lineage of this recording: Master Reel > DAT > DAT > PC > CDWave > FLAC For recorder 2, after careful listening revealed that my hearing is inadequate for the task, sound editor neild chose Cold Side Of The Bow. Lineage: Unknown > FLAC > AIFF > SoundStudio (EQ, speed) > AIFF > FLAC Echoes was speed corrected (the original ran very slow) and EQ'd lightly to better match rec1. REVISED IN REV A: Brain Damage is the special case, combining these two lineages, to restore the verse missing in the recorder 1 version. The edited passage is obvious due to the difference in sound quality, but EQ was used to match the sources as well as possible. The Rev A version restores two missing bars after the last vocal line. Thanks to Goldenband for spotting that subtle error. For those who prefer their songs unspliced, I am also including the original recorder 1 Brain Damage, with verse missing. Feel free to burn whichever version makes you happiest. NEW IN REV A: Atom Heart Mother is a recently discovered recording, which appeared on the Sigma roio Missing Pieces. It appears unaltered from that version, which appears to be rec2 or another of similar quality. Lineage of this track: Sigma Bootleg 2CD > WAVE > FLAC Huge thanks to neild for his awesome editing work, and to all at Yeeshkul and Echoes Hub for sharing files and patiently answering my many questions. Tracks: Disc 1: 1. Speak To Me - rec1 2. Breathe - rec1 3. Travel Sequence - rec1 4. Time - rec1 5. Breathe (reprise) - rec1 6. Mortality Sequence - rec1 7. Money - rec1 8. Us And Them - rec1 9. Any Colour You Like - rec1 10. Brain Damage - rec1/rec2/rec1 11. Eclipse - rec1 Disc 2: 1. One Of These Days - rec1 2. (tuning) - rec1 3. Careful With That Axe, Eugene - rec1 4. Echoes - rec2 5. Atom Heart Mother - rec2? Artwork and md5/ffp sums have also been included. Enjoy! - David D
