  • Emerson Lake & Palmer Date 25-July-2010 Venue Victoria Park, Hackney, London, UK. Country England Type Audience Quality B (Good) Media 2CD-R Cat Ref: SPAR006 High Voltage festival - Sunday 25th July 2010 Lineage: Recorded on Pocketrax CX @48k (Stereo Mics)> Tracked on Adobe Audition > Flac 8 Sound as recorded, no editing or noise reduction. Fantastic weekend at the High Voltage Festival with ELP the main event. Started off with some technical problems with the sound, Greg Lake was getting some feedback through his mic and acoustic guitar and the sound levels to time to settle, not suprising as the sound crew had a limited time to set up, but the sound gets better as the show goes on. Pictures at an exhibition ended with two cannons being fired (like at the Isle of Wight in 1970), also Carl Palmer's drum solo was a piece of amazing showmanship. Keith Emerson stuck knifes in his hammond organ and turned it on its head during Rondo. This recording is an open air audience recording, with a lot of unavoidable crowd noise, but never the less decent sounding. I have the soundboard recording of this which was issued as a limited edition not long after the concert finished, but this is incomplete as it contains a two minute sound dropout during Barbarian.
