  • Roger Waters 1999-08-07 WTF 10 Jones Beach NY (T-1635) This release is sourced from 3 flac files I got from themadchemist. He received the recording as a raw audio CDR as part of the Roger Waters "Tour Forest" (tree). He asked me if I would work on the recording, fix any problems I found and put it out as a T release. Many thanks to the original taper, WTF tree, themadchemist, and all involved. Original texts and pics are included in the artifacts folder. core sound biaugs>bass roll off-d-8 row r sec 102 > CDR > FLAC > Audacity > Roxio Sound Editor > WAV > CD Wave Editor 16 bit 44.1 Khz > FLAC 1st set 1. Comfortably Numb I removed a repeated segment at beginning. I removed 2 gaps and rejoined the recording during applause. I fixed several volume drops. I checked the speed - ok. I used the eq in Roxio, and Audacity to reduce the volume on some clapping spikes and increase the overall volume. I minimized some close screaming and whistles. Please don't ever think that the taper is responsible for making this kind of disturbance. Generally tapers are very quiet. They know they can't talk or it will be recorded. These guys were, unfortunatly, close to the taper. They probably didn't know they were ruining this guys recording. But they have to know they are being heard and disturbing everyone within 60 feet or more of them. Some people will say "they go there to have a good time and that's why they yell and talk so much". My opinion is that they are pigs. They soak up all the enjoyment. They take their enjoyment and everyone elses by their behaviour. A concert used to be a place you could go see and hear an artist on stage. Now many times it's an unpleasant ordeal you go through because you really want to see and hear the artist. But these pigs ruin it for you. Hey pigs, we don't want to hear you sing the songs. Hey pigs, STFU. I did the editing, mastering (tweaking), and artwork for this version of this show. Don't add to, change or remove any of these files. Keep the text, md5 and artwork files unaltered, together with the FLAC's. Don't rename directories or file names if you share this. My concern is that when people rename them they drop information like date, venue, location, T number. This information is useful to others when searching for or deciding which version of a show they want or already have. The T releases are not to be used as a source for anyones so called remastering projects. If you really want to do something find a better quality raw recording of the show and work from that. Don't just take what I have worked on and screw with it. For Trade or Give Away Only - Do Not Sell - Do Not Encode As MP3 Virus Files - MD or any other format which degrades the quality of the recording I have put out another version of this show sourced from another recorder. Roger Waters 1999-08-07 Jones Beach Wantaugh NY (T-1455) it doesn't suffer from the close screaming, whistling and singing along. Aug. 27, 2010 T________
