  • I first posted this from my master FM tape at torrent #188642. A comment in that post from March 19, 2008 said that it was a little offspeed (slow), so I have done a new speed adjusted transfer to try and fix that with this post. This is from the same source, although the other had a CD > CD extractor step in the lineage. this one does not. the other was posted with incomplete setlist. this one is not. the other did not have sb alignment. this one does. the speed was not dramatically off but enough for many to notice it. I think this sounds considerably better, so anyone who got this before will enjoy this even more. For the following reasons: 1: this one is from a new pitch adjusted transfer and sounds better 2: the setlist is now complete. 3: the tracking is better than in my previous post. 4: the info. is more complete, including band members, more lineage info. and the knowledge that this recording is the complete show with no music cut for tape flip interruptions at all (both were between songs.) Duran Duran Simon Le Bon: vocals Nick Rhodes: keyboards Andy Taylor: guitar John Taylor: bass Roger Taylor: drums Andy Hamilton: sax Raphael DeJesus- percussion B.J. Nelson: backing vocals Charmaine Birch: backing vocals Madison Square Garden New York City, N.Y. U.S.A. March 21, 1984 performance quality: a very good inspired performance touring their album "seven and the ragged tiger" recording quality: A source: entirely from master FM broadcast tape lineage: WBCN FM (live broadcast) > Sansui 8 reciever > cassette deck (Harmon Kardon? not sure which deck was used for this but the dolby was off) > Maxell XLII- 90 min. master cassettes played on Nak. 300 (pitch adjusted) into soundforge 4.5 (WAV) > FLAC 6 (sb's aligned) > torrentially yours. A this and that, 3 step torrent production. (master tape > WAV > flac > torrentially yours.) total runtime: 108:50 setlist: disc 1 (60:39, the previous post was 61:15) 1: radio announcer introduction :34 2: tiger, tiger > 2:48 3: is there something I should know? 4:44 4: hungry like the wolf 4:56 5: the reflex 5:57 6: new moon on Monday 4:54 7: the union of the snake 4:29 8: new religion 5:43 9: cracks in the pavement 5:06 10: of crime and passion 3:35 (end spliced, after song ended) 11: friends of mine 6:21 12: the seventh stranger 5:48 13: the chauffeur 5:38 disc 2 (48:11 previously 48:36) 14: save a prayer 6:54 15: planet earth 5:00 16: my own way 4:11 17: careless memories 4:59 (tape change after song ends) 18: Rio 6:54 19: radio announcer encore break 2 3:47 20: girls on film (with band introductions) 16:04 21: announcer closing comments :18 thanks to grockle, bigthing, wormdp, Jetrell69 and proedros for some corrections and completing the setlisting in the original posting. thanks to all of them this time the setlist is complete and the tracking should be correct (some of it was a little bit off in the last post) it's a team effort here on dime, every time.
