  • THE ROLLING STONES Pavillon de Paris (Les Abattoirs), Paris, France June 4, 1976 Complete concert SOURCE : EX first generation audience tape from Dimer LETSGO / SM personal collection (NOT from silver boot). Ripped and prepared by finkployd49. CONTRAST CLAUSE for which is the "Allright Charlie Watts" boot. PLEASE NOTE : my good friend LETSGO / SM gave me his 1st gen tape of the show for digitalization purposes. God Bless Him ! This source comes from the same recorder as the "Allright Charlie Watts" DWP-001 silver boot , but you get here a known lineage (1st gen), which sounds slighlty more detailed. Listen carefully to the sampleS. LINEAGE : couple of AKG mics -> UHER reel recorder -> 1st gen BASF Chromdioxid Type II C120 tape (bought from the taper) -> Nakamichi Dragon dolby off for playback -> Zoom H2 24 bit- 96 KHz -> Goldwave v.5.56 for edits, tracks, maximize at 90% -> .wav 16-44.1 -> TLH 2.4.1 (build 160)-> FLAC level 8 align on sector boundaries -> md5s Here is what LETSGO said about the taper GD : "(he) was a french bootleger who did hell of a job mainly in Paris in the 70's. He refused to do any trades so, sometimes, I accepted to pay for some stuff like (...)Neil Young 22 march 1976 or this Stones. He did the masters audience tapes for the aud boots Paris la Villette 1976 series. He was promoting his recordings under the Yan'Appa Records "label"(french joke)." I can add that GD was rumored to have been busted because he sold his recordings through music magazines ads and appears to have disappeared from the tape trading world at the end of the 1980s.
