  • Artist: Kiss Date: June 14th, 1979 City: Lakeland,Florida Venue: Lakeland Civic Center Quality: Soundboard / A- (some background noise) Source: SBD > Analog > CD-R > FLAC > Sound Forge > FLAC (level 8) --- Set List King of the Nightime World (fades in) Radioactive (solo) Move On (solo) Christine Sixteen Firehouse New York Groove (solo) New York Groove (part again) Calling Dr. Love Tossin' And Turnin' (solo) Love Gun 2,000 Man I was Made for Lovin' You (cuts in) God of Thunder Shout It Out Loud Rock 'n' Roll All Nite Beth Detroit Rock City Black Diamond --- Notes The included covers have the set split into two discs, but this version has dead air edited out to bring it down to one disc. The 12-inch version of "Dirty Livin'" is also omitted. According to the "Kiss Alive Forever" book, this show was a full-scale dress rehearsal for members of the press, and this was supposed to be the first night of two at this venue, but this show was canceled due to poor ticket sales. You can hear the band talking in between songs about song arrangements, joking, bitching, et cetera. Peter is a little more notorious for his antics. At the end of track 11 he can be heard making a "KissCo" (as in "disco") reference as they are getting ready to go into IWMFLY". Because much of the talking is done off-microphone, you may need to turn up the volume in order to hear these comments. Also, besides the Largo video, this is the only SBD show circulating tha has all 4 solo tracks. "Tossin' and Turnin'" and "Move On" were later removed from the tour set list altogether.
