  • Joe Satriani Ruth Eckerd Hall Clearwater, FL (USA) Aug. 21, 2002 Excellent ALD-Soundboard recording (a Jim F. recording) ** mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section ** Here's another fine Jim F. recording brought to you by TheCommish! Setlist: 101. Flying In A Blue Dream 102. Crushing Day 103. Devil's Slide 104. Band intro 105. Cool #9 106. Satch Boogie 107. The Crush Of Love 108. Mind Storm 201. Seven String 202. Midnight 203. Starry Night 204. Always With Me, Always With You 205. Raspberry Jam Delta-V 206. The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing 207. Summer Song 208. Encore break (just crowd applause) 209. Friends Lineage: ALD/SBD > D8 (listen box--from the parking lot) > DAT > CDR Additional editing notes: * Show was recorded out-of-phase; show was phase-corrected (to be "in-phase") via Cool Edit Pro * Re-tracked show by combining in Nero, splitting with CD Wave * Faded in first song and faded out last song with Nero (no fade between discs) The band: Joe Satriani - lead guitar Matt Bissonette - bass Galen Henson - rhythm guitar Jeff Campitelli - drums ALD (assisted listening device) soundboard recordings are usually knocked for their "thin" sound quality (high amount of treble, not enough bass), but I don't think that's a real issue here at all. As such, Jim's files have been unaltered for sound quality (i.e., no EQ performed)--if some of you prefer to have more bass in your ALD recordings, I'll let you do your own EQ work since it then becomes a matter of personal taste. As for me, I think the show sounds great, as-is. Jim F. notes: (regarding his ALD-SBD shows): "ALDs (fm-sbd) perfect captures in most or all cases..however somewhat lacking bass..more than regular fm..The best place to rec these shows was from the park lot..! the signal was the best there..!" If you decide to download this show, won't you please consider posting a comment on the show's board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run. And won't you please consider thanking Jim for this mighty fine show? Generously donated by Jim F. (undiscokidd), and uploaded on DIME by TheCommish January 2009
