  • Aerosmith - 1974-10-20 Morris Civic Auditorium, South Bend, IN 01 Woman of the World 02 Dream On 03 Milk Cow Blues 04 Somebody 05 Same Old Song and Dance 06 Walkin' the Dog 07 Train Kept-a-Rollin' (with solos) 08 crowd 09 Mama Kin 10 post-show announcements - Indianapolis concerts source: audience > Superscope CS200 stereo cassette recorder > Memorex cassette > Nakamichi BX-125 > Aardvark Q10 > 96/24 wav > Soundforge 44.1/16 wav conversion > flac 8 (sector alignment) I recorded this 31 years ago with a stereo Superscope CS200 cassette recorder onto Memorex blank tape. The tape shell had to be replaced before transfer. The Morris Civic Auditorium was home to monthly, mostly sold-out shows by up-and-comers in the now-called "classic rock" scene: Rush, Kiss, Queen, Kansas, and of course Aerosmith. A combo of a so-so PA and acoustics of the old auditorium resulted in a boomy, slightly distant tape. Also, the first third of this concert was on another cassette that has been lost. I've seen an Aerosmith concert on this date attributed to Providence, RI, but this is the correct date and venue. Either this "Providence" show has the wrong place or date. The after-show announcements mention a J. Geils Band show on Halloween, "a week from Thursday," and this show was definitely on a Sunday.
