- Ambrosia: The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 104 This is the first opening act I ever recorded. The Strawbs (Vol 27) were the main attraction, but I was also interested in Ambrosia. While they weren't quite progressive enough for me, I did enjoy several songs from their first two albums, particulary "Nice, Nice, Very Nice," with lyrics from "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut. There were plenty of empty seats during their performance, so and Howie and I moved up to the second row and captured Ambrosia touring in support of their second album, "Somewhere I've Never Travelled." Ambrosia eventually found greater success with their hits "How Much I Feel," and "Biggest Part Of Me," but by then, I had long since lost interest.
