  • XTC Paradiso Amsterdam, Niederlande 1978-01-14 Taped and transferred by Hans Devente aka 'The Mad Taper' Known info 'MY FIRST RECORDINGS OF XTC, SHORTER SETS, BECAUSE THEY WERE SUPPORTING TALKING HEADS(SEE THOSE TAPES ELSEWHERE HERE)' XTC7 Transferred on a Sony TC-WR820 from an unknown brand tape. Uploaded by Hans as one FLAC file, downloaded by JonJon, and then: > CD Wave 1.98 (Tracking, Exported as 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV) > Sony Sound Forge 10.0c (Fades, exported as 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV) > TLH 2.7.0.172 (FLAC Lvl. 8, FFP) > Foobar2000 1.1.13 (Tagging) XTC at this point in time was: Barry Andrews - Keys, vocals Terry Chambers - Drums Colin Moulding - Bass guitar, vocals Andy Partridge - Guitar, vocals Play Time - 00:42:31 Radios in Motion Cross Wires Statue of Liberty Set Myself on Fire I'm Bugged New Town Animal in a Furnished Cage Into the Atom Age All Along the Watchtower (Bob Dylan) She's So Square Do What You Do Dance Band Science Friction Neon Shuffle Notes - Huge thanks to Hans Devente, who's finally finished transferring and sharing ALL of his XTC tapes. Hans taped a load of these tapes himself, and a large portion of them are audience captures. Thanks to Hans, no longer is XTC of the 70s nor Barry Andrews a rarity! Unfortunately, shortly after transferring the Chelmsford Odeon and Strans Lyceum tapes, his Nakamichi Dragon bit the dust. According to him it was far more than simple electrical failure, and it was given a seaman's burial in the waterway behind his house. Being the sport he is, he went out and got a replacement deck to finish up not only these but all the other tapes he has. The deck in question is a Sony TC-WR820, a two head deck and not as great as the Dragon, but certainly it works! - XTC opened for The Talking Heads. All material from the still unreleased 'White Music' album and some b-sides.
