  • From The Man of Leasure Music... The "Definitive Wall Series". All shows are speed correct and remastered the best versions you are likely to find for these rare and unusual dates. 2-8-80 LA Sports Arena, 2nd Wall Concert, 2nd night of 7 LA performances. Interesting show because the recorded tracks of the children singing during Another Brick in the Wall, pt2 fails, and the band jumps in and sings this verse themselves. Also, Dave sings both verses of "Hey You", instead of Rog singing the second verse. Remastered, speed corrected and stereo enhanced. Sourced from: Dan Kraft, Tempe AZ 2-25-80 Nassau Coliseum, 9th Wall Concert, 2nd night of 5 performances in NY. Though the first three minutes of sound on disc one is garbled, the rest of the show's sound is very good. Very funny exchange between the tapers and security about 2:30 into "Nobody Home". Security asks,"Is that a pipe you've got there?" to which the taper answers, "No, it's a microphone." For whatever reason, the guard does not make them stop the recording! Sourced from: Dirk Giebels, Germany 2-27-80 Nassau Coliseum, 11th Wall Concert, 4th night in NY. Remastered from the soundtrack of the VHS tape of the same show. A bit lacking in bass, but a solid night's performance from the band. I was at this very concert, and still have an original backstage pass, which I scanned to make cover art for this show. Second Coming Music, NYC 8-9-80 Earl's Court, 18th Wall Concert, last of six nights in London for 1980. Remastered from professional video shot of the band. The Snowy White solo during Another Brick in the Wall, pt2 is used in the commercial release of Is There Anybody Out There. It's got some speed problems at times because of the video tape it's recorded from, but is otherwise an excellent live recording. Sourced from: Steve Blank, Sheboygan WI 2-18-81 Dortmund, Germany. 23rd Wall Concert, 6th of 8 shows performed in Germany. This very rare date is a recording made closer to the stage than any other audience recording of the Wall that I know of, or at least that I can tell. One of the finer Wall Concerts there is. Sourced from: Dirk Giebels, Germany 2-19-81 Dortmund, Germany. 24th Wall Concert, 7th of 8 shows performed in Germany. Speed corrected and bass boosted. Popularly known as "Tear Down the Walls," which plays just a tad but slow. An excellent performance and recording. Sourced from: Gabriel Perry, Colorado and remastered by Dan Kraft. Enjoy,
