  • Renaissance 14 July 1983 The Golden Bear, Huntington Beach, California, US From trade (not sure whether tape or CDR originally). Flac files and checksum by Trader's Little Helper. Setlist: 01. Camera, Camera 02. Faeries (living at the bottom of the garden) 03. Running Hard 04. Northern Lights 05. Thanks to crew 06. Tyrant-Tula 07. Mother Russia (fades out before end) 08. Improvisation (Annie has 'wardrobe malfunction') 09. Jigsaw 10. A Song For All Seasons Running time: approx 62 mins Annie Haslam - lead vocals Jon Camp - bass, vocals Michael Dunford - guitar Peter Gosling - keyboards (???) Peter Barron - drums (???) Comments: Low volume and some hiss, but very easy to listen to. One problem: "Mother Russia" is faded out after about 7 minutes (could be for tape-flip). In addition, it appears to be less than the complete concert. One conundrum: the date given by the trader was 14 July 1983, but this concert appears to be promoting the 1981 release "Camera, Camera" (4 of the songs are from this album). By July 1983 they had released "Time-Line" and would surely have been promoting it (as they did at the "Hot Spots" Chicago concert on 4th May 1983). I'd be interested to find out the real date, but I'd suggest late 1981 or 1982. Any ideas?
