I was never quite happy with the lack of bass end on this recording,so went back and increased the bass end to an exceptable level.12db. It seems to give it a bit of punch. See what you think. Magic in the sea air indeed. A free concert by South Tyneside council,on a sunny July day. And 24.000 other people had the same idea for an afternoon out. Massive queue's to get in,i missed the first five songs, but heard them and then saw them through a gap in the hedge, talking of which, there was a hole at the bottom of the fence and mentioned to the person next to me,if i was 20 years younger i could get through that. I did plan to record it,but didn't work out quite right after putting the recorder back in my pocket actually switched it off,so i was left with 30 seconds. Imagine my surprise when i saw this been rebroadcasted at the end of August. At the show there was drink aplenty and deck chairs everywhere, and some awful singalongs, so in the end i prefer this recording to what my ears witnessed. Lindisfarne supported The Proclaimers. Technical Info. Raised the volume and added a bit of bass. A bit of static throughout, which is noticable on the quieter parts, hence the B Rating. Did a few cuts,as the BBC did a few voice overs at the start of songs, had to cut 5 seconds from the start of We Can Swing Together as they spoke over the music, nice touch.
