Even though this is a first gen, unfortunately there is some hiss. There's a fair amount of audience noise as well. So it's not great sounding but as there are few "Rocks" shows out there, and this show as far as I know has never circulated until now, this has some value to it. This is certainly listenable though if you're a more than a casual fan. Minor cut @ 5:27 of "Lord Of The Thighs" for a tape flip, so minor that if you're not looking for it you probably won't notice it. Tape ran a consistent half step too slow, and speed correction upwards was applied right on the tape deck. I wish the tape were beautiful sounding but I did all I could do, which was make as good of a digital transfer as possible. Editing was minimal; all that was done was splicing to remove gaps and amplification to the highest levels possible without clipping, as the tape was a little soft. The right channel was softer than the left channel on the tape and has more hiss than the left channel. Absolutely no other equalization, normalization or noise reduction was done, so other than that amplification this is a raw transfer. First three songs are all segued. Before "Rats In The Cellar," the band teases "Dream On." The band only plays about half of "Get The Lead Out" before moving into an instrumental which includes the Peter Gunn theme and some wrap-up chords before the encore "Toys In The Attic." FFP file for easy checking with Trader's Little Helper, as well as sector boundary results are included.
